Sam Hummel

Sam Hummel is a graduate student in the interdisciplinary Liberal Studies program at Duke University. His research focuses on pathways for monetary system transformation that advance sustainability and social equity. Sam worked for 10 years for the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, which benchmarked hundreds of universities on their incorporation of sustainability into their operations, curricula, and research. Sam also worked for seven years for the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council, benchmarking and supporting corporations, governments, and higher education institutions on the sustainability of their procurement decision-making. Sam is an active participant in the Alliance for Just Money.
